WRITING / CURATION

I was thrilled to be invited to create the accompanying soundtrack to BIMA’s Within/Earshot Jazz Festival this year.

A tapestry of rhythmic jazz sounds from around the world are presented to accompany their annual Jazz festival, a sister festival to Seattle's Earshot Jazz Festival, October 2021.

Here’s everything from the modern, improvised sounds of Ill Considered—to the classic sounds of Betty Carter and Thelonious Monk—to contemporary beatmakers/producers like Makaya McCraven and Kansado.

Read my liner notes and give it a listen, here.

INTERVIEW

Greg Morgan and I were interviewed for the What's Up Bainbridge Podcast by local record and book store owner Raymond Gendreau. We talk about the upcoming 2 Year Birthday party of Vinyl Lounge on May 4th at the Alehouse. Interview length, 8 minutes.

Give a listen.

Dig into some of the many playlists I've created via Spotify. Some I have made for myself, like These Songs Make Me Happy and 1984 - 1989. Others I have made for friends like Teresa or for Marc's Pizza joint. Dig in, enjoy.
